Sea slugs are an amazingly diverse and beautiful group of animals. While I study the "Sea Angel" Clione limacina (which gets its own gallery), I've been fortunate enough to come across a host of different sea slug species. I've even had time to take pictures of some of them. Most of the following species were found in the San Juan Islands area of Washington state. Click on any of the following Genus species names to see images of that particular sea slug.
Flabellina iodinea (Flabellinopsis iodinea)
If you like these pictures, I highly recommend you visit the Sea Slug Forum. Its species list is amazingly comprehensive and it includes not only beautiful pictures of each of the species it showcases but background information as well.
